1. Synthesizer. I usually don't use it much, but others say it's a top tier instrument so I'll put this in number 1.
2. Grand Piano. Primarily because it's the base for learning how to create music. It's much easier to practice and develop compositional skills by using it by Itself or with another instrument.
3. EDM kit. Some of you guys might put this in number 2 or 1, but the only good use for it is just percussion and sound design in my opinion.
4. Violin/all string instruments. With strings you can add calmness or intensity to a sequence if you know how to use it just right. I consider string instruments to be highly versatile in any scenario.
5. Guitars/bass guitars. I know how some of you guys might use synthesizer for the main bass, but I usually go with guitars for bass since they can produce a more natural/realistic sound than synthesizer.
