little snow tune

12/12/2024: Little Snow Tune was written for a monthly contest to create a "snow" theme. I drew a lot of inspiration from songs such as "Snowball Park" from Super Mario 3D World, and "Cool, Cool Mountain" from Super Mario 64. I wanted a jaunty, lively winter-y song that sounded fun.
I went with light instruments such as piano, bells, and high strings. I wanted instruments that sounded uplifting and spirited. And what would a snow song be without sleigh bells!?? I used brass to add some dramatic effect here and there as well.
The pizzicato/piano bassline was a tough decision, as it was originally going to be low brasses, but they didn't sound as bouncy as I wanted, so I ultimately decided against it.
I originally planned for another section, but couldn't quite get anything to fit right. I was satisfied with what I had, so I decided to vary the second loop by switching up what instruments were used, and shifting the focus.
