You can still make music on OS with a simple interface if you don't use the synth or markers. I would say markers are the most complicated feature of OS with its difficult to use interface

Here is a simple FM synth I made on my phone with 2 oscillators. I have the frequency output of the oscillator to the left modulating the phase (location on waveform) of the oscillator on the right. There is an ADSR envelope for both oscillators that controls the volume. There is no filter or LFO in this only 2 oscillators and envelopes for each. Here is a quick rhodes sound I made https://voca.ro/1j3I3Qcu9CKp Here is a quick dubstep bass https://voca.ro/1cOtaOLGH418 The versatility of this with things like filters and distortion would be crazy

The only thing I changed between the two sounds where the oscillator octave, the oscillator waveform, the octave of the oscillators, and the volume envelopes

Synthesizers are you get to make sounds from scratch using filters and stuff. Its a purely electronic / mathematical instrument. You can test it on https://test.onlinesequencer.net/

https://voca.ro/1mRhDT1kOJdy This is a 2 oscillator FM synth with ADSR on both oscillators. There is a bit of limiting distortion as well. Nothing else. Its insane how versatile this would be in OS
