This piece was a sort of "experiment" on doodling with motivic development & figuring out forms I would like to use more often.
Guide for Thematic Analysis -
Red - Motif 1
Orange - Motif 2
**Motifs 1 and 2 are derived from the fragmentation of the first melody (m5 - m20)
Yellow - Motif 3
Light Green - Motif 4
**Motifs 3 and 4 are derived from the fragmentation of the second melody (Entrance at m62)
"Mini" [Rhythmic] Motif highlighted in Light Blue (also from the first melody)
piano solo m83
harp cadenza m189
[Notes: possibly(?) need to extend development of first 2 motifs; make a better clarinet sound]

This is such an amazing piece that it makes me want to quit composing. It makes me feel things I didn't know i could feel. I already get emotional to music but this made me bawl, I don't know how you made something this amazing. Please never stop.

Wow ive never been asked that before. I essentially listened to a bunch of classical music over the years, then decided to apply the ideas I heard to make my own stuff. Since it was mainly through listening though, I didn't know how to read sheet music (only within the past year have I started to) and currently know very little theory.
I spent the first years of my account experimenting with a lot of harmonies (and still do) after catching onto habits of composers (going through my account, you'd be able to see Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Scriabin, and Rachmaninov influences). At the moment, I'm still searching for harmonies such as from the French Symbolists but also trying to focus on forms & structure. This piece, for instance, is my try at motivic development, which I recognized after listening to Medtner's concertos many times over.
oh my god.. big fan of this
I was not expecting this... It is genuinely breathtaking.
