some waltz that i made that i did not at all expect to turn out this good
03/06/2025
Waltz in C Minor, Op. 1, No. 1. I made another one. The best part starts at bar 217.
I almost gave up on this one after bar 129 (the part where it modulates to C Major), but then I decided, "You know what, I don't want to leave this an unfinished sketch."
I forgot that this was supposed to sound like Op. 64, No. 2 (the waltz in C-sharp Minor). It's not hard to make a calm waltz. What's hard is making it stay calm.
i made better sheet music.
Sorry @CellaSteela2, I'm perm-muted for something I didn't do, so I can't reply normally. I get my inspo from Chopin and Chopin only. This one specifically is from Op. 64, No. 2.
I found the sequence, Cella. THANK YOU SO MUCH, but go listen to Chopin. I'm not that good. Also, I'm unchloe again (i'm a she), and everyone hates me because they think I talk about Chopin too much. I kinda think that Fox perm-muted me because of that and the "evading a mute" was an excuse.
Yk what Cella maybe I am that good, the Scherzo-Fantaisie exists now

ooh
Your still alive!
Splendid. It makes me think of a fancy little cafe or restaurant in the evening.
I am subscribed, and am (Decently) well versed in Chopin, but if I'm going to be honest I spend a lot more time lauding over Rochmoninoff...
The link still works. this is a great Waltz, and although very original, it is very easy to hear the inspiration from very talented composers. Obviously I'm not knowledgeable enough to take this stance, but nonetheless this is an amazing piece!
Chopin.
Now stop stalking me please. (sarcastic)
What are your biggest inspirations in terms of classical composers?

This one specifically is based on Op. 64, No. 2 back when I was obsessed with it. Now I'm obsessed with Op. 64, No. 3. (yes, it does exist)
