piece that exists because i stayed at the piano too late no. 3
the best piece under 3 minutes i've ever made
Damian, this is the piece from that…thing I wrote.
06/11/2026 (i started this yesterday btw)
Prélude in A-flat Major, Op. 6, No. 33 (from 120 Préludes, Op. 6)
what is it with ending on a hand crossing and not resolving?
i had to republish this score THREE TIMES
This is my most Scriabin-esque not explicitly Scriabin-esque piece so far. It has some really interesting harmonies, like a D-flat Major and Minor chord in measure 59. It even ends on the Major 13th.
I somehow managed to capture that specific Scriabin ecstasy that's different from what you get with Chopin, but the same (if not stronger) than the type you get from the end of the Sonata movement 1.
And to explain why it's No. 3 and not No. 1, the other 2 are Étude Op. 3, No. 9 and Nocturne Op. 7, No. 1. The Étude is still unfinished and the Nocturne took almost 3 months. I thought there was no hope for this Prélude.
06/12: all I did yesterday was this and I got 114 plays, the most I've had in recent history. Why do you guys love this so much?
06/20: fixed a few coloring errors
06/23: added the background that I stole from ewrruewc
TheLooneyBird, would it be narcissistic to say I know? This is easily the best Prélude in the collection so far. But if this is your first unchloe piece ever, go look at the rest of my featured.
Biggo, I can't send private messages. I'm perm-muted.
