in loving memory...
i finally stopped procrastinating and finished the second prélude LET'S GO
10/17/2025
Prélude in A Minor, Op. 6, No. 2 (from 120 Préludes, Op. 6). In honor of the 176th anniversary of the death of Chopin.
On Oct*ber 17, 1849 (apologies for the censor, that date is a slur to me), Frédéric Chopin passed away at age 39 from tuberculosis. It was a very sad day for the piano world, some even calling it one of the greatest tragedies in music history (myself included). I felt like I had to do something to honor him, and me being me, a moment of silence wasn't enough to respect my "boyfriend". Don't come after me, this was an actual remark made by one of my teachers.
So I decided to write a piece for him. I literally got the idea in first period and had to finish it today or else I would be late and my boyfriend would be mad at me. I had to work on it little by little during school. At least I finished in time.
That was actually the only thing that stopped the procrastination of the 120 Préludes. I did start working on No. 5, tho.
