of course i remembered your birthday, Frédéric
no, i'm not unhealthily obsessed with him, why would you think that?
03/01/2026 (I actually could have finished this much earlier)
Waltz in A-flat Major, Op. 8, No. 4 (from 4 Waltzes, Op. 8)
It's the opposite of Op. 6, No. 2 (
).
this is on musescore now
Sorry for writing this 6 days late, I wasn't feeling too good on Sunday.
Anyways I'm not gonna write out Chopin's entire life story because that takes too much time. And also I get judged for it. All you need to know is that March 1, 1810 was one of the greatest days to ever happen, and what better way to celebrate your loved one's birthday than to write a piece about them? Except my loved one is also [We do not talk about Oct*ber 17, 1849.], so I'll never know if he actually received this.
The colors aren't based off the notes this time, they're based off the colors of the keys of the piano and the flag of Poland. Even the key of the piece, A-flat Major, was Chopin's favorite key (either that or C-sharp Minor). The piece itself was heavily inspi—why am I saying this, all my pieces are Chopin inspired. This one in particular sounds like a cross between Mazurka Op. 17, No. 3 & Op. 59, No. 2, and I feel like this should have been a mazurka instead of a waltz. I'm just not allowed to make one because I'm not Polish.
This is my favorite waltz so far, although Op. 8, No. 3 might beat it.
